One black dress that covers a lot of ground. The stretch jersey drapes instead of clinging, and the blouson waist gives you shape without a fitted feel, so it stays comfortable through a full day and a dinner after. Worth knowing before you order: it runs long. At 5'5" and under it tends to hit the ankle rather than mid calf, so plan on a quick hem if you want it shorter.
When to wear this:
- Work days that turn into dinner out
- Showers, birthdays, and rehearsal dinners
- Travel, since jersey packs down and shakes out
- Church and family gatherings
- Warm evenings when you do not want anything tight
How to style:
- Flat sandals and a crossbody by day, heeled mule after
- Denim jacket over it for daytime
- A long pendant, or a belt at the waist to change the shape entirely
