A rib knit sweater is about as useful as menswear gets. A jersey upper with a ribbed body and sleeves gives it texture so it does not read flat, and Jetty's charcoal is a deep olive-toned grey, warmer than a true black and easier to pair than navy. Self start hem and cuffs and a tubular ribbed collar keep the edges clean. Wear it on its own or over a collar.
When to wear this:
- Office days that need a step up from a sweatshirt
- Dinner out when a jacket feels like too much
- Holiday gatherings and family photos
- Travel days, since a knit does not wrinkle like a woven
- Cold mornings under a coat
How to style:
- Over a white tee with dark denim and boots
- Collar of a button-down showing at the neck for a sharper look
- With chinos and clean sneakers when the day runs from work into dinner
